This CD contains over 1,500 indexed photos with captions and is PC or MAC compatible.

Most of this material is unique to the 381st and is not generic stock photography.

The CD-ROM was created from five photo albums comprised of 450 pages and some 1,585 individual photos and documents.

This magnificent collection was donated by George W. Porter on behalf of Leroy C. Wilcox to the Memorial Association. This "Raw Material" was then scanned onto computer files and eventually produced into this CD.

If you have materials that you wish to share with the Association, they can be incorporated into future editions - your originals will of course be returned to you - contact Frank Slomzenski for further details.

So how is the CD organized and what does it look like?

Answer: The collection has been carefully indexed and numbered.  Photos are presented as they appear in the photo albums.  To browse the CD, just access it with your Internet browser and select the "381stindex.html" file.

From there choose a desired album page based on the description provided.  Album pages are sorted by book and page number.  There are generally four images per page.

All images are in *.jpg format, file size averages 500k, image size is generally 1000 x 800 pixels in a mix of landscape and portrait orientations, resolution is 100 pixels/inch.
