JANUARY 1944

1. The Detachment personnel the usual camp duties during the month.
2. There were no personnel changes during the month.
3. The following changes in classification were made, as per board action: T/Sgt LaGeorge G. Wheeler from 539 to 870; S/Sgts Edward C. Kollman and Donald E. Olk from 651 to 870; T/5 Willie D. Wood, Pfc Steve Arway, Pfc Donald McConnick, Pic Richard T. Stone, Pvt George H. Bickell and Raymond Small from 345 to 929.
4. Sgt Robert L. Loach (1.5102335) DS to Anti-Gas School. Rolleston Camp, Salisbury for 12 days.
5. The Detachment. loaded eight incendiary missions during the month.

FEBRUARY

1. The Detachment personnel performed the usual camp duties during February.
2. The following EM were transferred to HQ 881 Chem. Co. Station #117, Kimbolton: Sgt Edward M. Bates, Sgt Bob L. Thulin, Cpl August A. Byron. 2nd Lt David G. McAnemy (0-1038059) assigned to Eighth AF Replacement Depot, AAF Station #594.
3. The following personnel have been reclassified: Pvt Verlin 0. Simmons from 062 to521.; Pfc Walter C. Tabbert, Pvt Coral F. Mann, Pvt Paul K. Trittipo, Pvt Herman R. Welch from 121 to 521; T/5 Donald W. Whitely from 121 to 822; T/5 George A. .Harris, T/5 Albert W. Hirsch. T/5 Donald MacLellan from 186 to 835; T/5 Willie D.Wood, Pfc Steve Arway, Pfc Donald McConnick, Pfc Richard T. Stone, Pvt George .H. Bickell, Pvt Raymond F. Small from 929 to 345.
4. The following promotions and reductions have been made during the month: Pfc Martin G. Mulligan (36079338) reduced to Pvt; Pvt John F. Jacubowski (32446559) promoted to Pfc.
5. lst Lt Juette 0. Renalds (0-1036693) to Anti-Gas School, Rollestone Camp, Salisbury for seven days, dated 27 Jan.
6. This Detachment loaded six incendiary missions throughout February.
7. A letter of commendation dated 28 Feb 1944, from Post Commander was received by Pfc Norman H. Preston for Meritorious Conduct on 22 Sept 1943 when an Allied aircraft crashed and exploded near this station.
8. The following EM received the Good Conduct Medal during the month: Sgt Edward M. Bates, T/5 Dwight W. Bishop (35381582}, T/5 Thomas P. Flaherty (32269773) Pfc Otis V. Beyer, Pfc Paul W. Holt. MARCH

1. The Detachment performed the usual camp duties during the month.
2. The following personnel changes took place: Pfc Martin G. Mulligan and Pvt Raymond F. Small transferred in grade to HQ Sq, Det #5 ASC. to AAF Station #594; Pvt Verlin O. Sammons transferred in grade to Dept. of Patients. 121st General Hospital; T/Sgt Nathan Weissmann (12043139) of HQ 1st Bomb Div. is placed on TD for an indefinite period to this unit.
3. The following promotions and reductions were made during the month: T/5 Thomas P. Flaherty promoted to Cpl; Cpl Walter A. McCullough reduced to Pvt; Pfc John J. Jacubowski, Pfc Virgil E. Peterson, Pvt Walter A. McCollough promoted to T/5; Pvts Samuel B. Kennedy, Paul K. Trittipo, Charlie L. Turner promoted to Pfc.
4. 1st Lt Juette 0. Rena1ds to B-17 Armament School at RAF Kirkham, Preston, for two weeks.
5. T/5 Dwight W. Bishop to Anti-Gas School at Rollestone Camp. Salisbury. for 12 days; 2nd Lt Roy L. Alley to same school for seven days.
6. A letter of commendation dd 30 March from the Post Commander was received by Cpl John L. Sweeney, as a member of the station orchestra, for the excellent manner in which the orchestra has entertained and served to bolster the morale of the personnel of this station. The time and effort which he so generously donated to enhance the spirits of the officers and men are highly appreciated.
7. lst Lt. Juette 0. Renalds is appointed Base Ordnance Officer in addition to other duties, vice lst Lt John J. Conners (0-1036069) is released.

APRIL

1. The Detachment performed the usual camp duties during the month.
2. The following personnel changes took place: Pvt Raymond V. Small transferred to Station #594 on TD; Pvts Alvin Silverman (12218992) and Albert Zdolchek (35915270) assigned from 881st Chem. Co. Detachment at Kimbolton.
3. There were no promotions or reductions during the month.
4. 2nd Lt Roy L. Alley appointed Station Chemical Officer vice lst Lt Juette 0. Renalds.
5. The Detachment loaded 12 incendiary missions during April.

MAY

1. The Detachment performed the usual camp duties during the month.
2. The following personnel changes took place: Cpl William S. Lott Jr (32345889) of HQ. 1st Bomb Div. released for TD with HQ 876th Chemical Co. for seven days; The following are released from duty and attached to. Alert Detachment' 1142nd MP Co, for quarters and rations: Pfc Raymond F. Dougan, Pvts Wend1e L. Arnett, Coral F. Mann, Michael F. Patrick, Paul A. Pietrowski; T/5 George A Harris (12047595) re- classified from 835 to 945.
3. There have been no promotions or .reductions during the month.
4. Special Order #116, from HQ, 38lst BG dd 26 may, placed 881st Chem. Co. under direct control, for loading of aircraft only, of Capt Julius L. Eichenbaum (0-1551392), HQ, 381st BG.
5. The Detachment loaded six incendiary missions during the month.

JUNE

1. The Detachment performed the usual camp duties during the month.
2. The following EM are released from m with 1.l42nd MP Co. and returned to duty: Pfc Raymond F. Dougan, Pvts Wendle L. Arnett, Coral F. Mann, Michael F. Patrick, Paul A Pietrowski; T/5 Virgil E. Peterson re-classified from 786 to 502, T/5 Donald MacLellan from 835 to 821.
3. One officer and 33 enlisted men released from attachment to this unit.
4. 1st Lt Juette O. Renalds to Bomb Recon. School for sevens days, with 2nd Lt Roy L. Alley assuming command, dd 7 June.
5. lst Lt Juette O. Renalds on DS at RAF Anti-Gas School, Rollestone Camp, Salisbury for 12 days, 2nd Lt Roy L. Alley assuming command, dd 23 June.
6. There were no promotions or reductions during the month.
7. The Detachment loaded three incendiary missions during the month.
8. The Detachment loaded 163 skymarkers during the month.

JULY

1. The Detachment performed the usual camp duties during the month. 2. The following personnel changes took place: Cpl Richard W. Brown (34505641 ) placed on DS with unit from HQ lst Bomb Div.; Pfc Meredith C. Barron (17153976) transferred from HQ 38lst BG; Pvt Albert F. Zdolshek transferred to 532nd Bomb Sqd, Pvt Coral F. Mann released from DS with HQ 881st Chem. Co., and returned to unit; Pfc Walter C. Tabbert, Pfc Paul. K.. Trittipo, Pvt Herman R. Welch all reclassified from 521 to 590; Sgt Edward Van Nuland re-classified from 813 to 014; T/4 Charles Albonesco re-classified from 060 to 824.
3. 1st Lt Juette O. Renalds returned from Anti-Gas School, and 2nd Lt Roy L. Alley relieved of command.
4. Pfc Robert F. Litke promoted to T/5, Lts Renalds and Alley devised a bomb release marker which has been approved for use by this group. Specifications have been sent to higher HQ for approval. A modification for the fuse, bomb, M-127 developed by Lts Renalds and Alley have been submitted through channels for consideration and approval.
6. The Detachment loaded six incendiary missions during the month, and 76 skymarkers.

AUGUST

1. The Detachment performed the usual camp duties during the month. 2. There have been no personnel changes in this period.
3. The following re-classifications took place: T/5 Donald W. Whitely from 822 to 345, Pfc Walter C. Tabbert, Pfc Paul K. Trittipo, Pfc Herman R. Welch from 590 to 786.
4. T/5 Donald MacLellan, T/5 Walter A. McCullough, Pfc Samuel B. Kennedy to Browning Machine Gun School at RAF Kirkham. Preston. Lancs for seven days, dd 10 Aug; T/5 Albert W. Hjrsch, T/5 John F. Jacubowski to same school for seven days. dd 24 Aug.
5. There were no promotions or reductions during the month.
6. During this period the detachment loaded 80 skymarkers and 93 bomb release markers.

SEPTEMBER

1. The Detachment performed the usual camp duties during the month.
2. The following promotions and reductions took place: Sgt Edward J. Var Nuland and T/5 Joseph S. Ciampi reduced to Pvt; T/5 Donald MacLellan promoted to Sgt; Pfc Stanley A. Dymkowski and Pvt Edward J. VanNuland promoted to T /5.
3. The following changes to classification took place: Pfc Raymond F. Dougan from 786 to 405.
4. The following changes in personnel took place: Cpl Eugene C. Bytheway (33597272) of HQ 881st Chem. Co. is placed on DS with this unit; Pfc John S. Pekala (32480655) assigned from 533rd BS to this unit; Pfc Raymond F. Dougan (12096146) and Pvt Golden G. Sherfield (39310207) transferred to HQ 876th Chem. Co.
5. T/5 Albert W. Hirsch and T/5 J.ohn J. Jacubowski to Browning Machine Gun School at RAF Kirkham. Preston. Lancs for seven days.
6. 2nd Lt Roy L. Alley to Ammunition School for two weeks. dd 10 Sept; S/Sgt Edward C. Kollmann and Pvt Michael F. Patrick on same course for two weeks. dd 24 Sept.
7. Sgt Robert L. Loach to Bomb Recon. School for seven days. dd 24 Sept.
8. The Bomb Release Marker devised by Lt Renalds and Lt AIIey has been approved by Combat Wing and 1st Bomb Division.
9. This Detachment loaded 72 bomb release markers and 59 skymarkers during the month as
well as loading incendiaries and 12 missions.

OCTOBER

1. The Detachment performed the usual camp duties during the month.
2. There were no promotions or reductions.
3. The following personnel changes took part: 1st Lt. Juette Renalds released from this unit and transferred to the 7th Station Complement Sqd. ; 2nd Lt Roy L. Alley is appointed commanding officer; 2nd Lt Gene S. Sarli (0-1038479) and Cp1 Edward K. Gliem (12056393) transferred to this unit from 7th Station Complement Sqd; T/5 George A. Harris transferred to 533rd BS; Sgt Donald MacLellan transferred to 70th Replacement Depot.
4.The following attended training schools during the month, lst Lt Juette Renalds to Ammunition School for two weeks. dd 27 Sept.; 2nd Lt Roy L. Alley to Bomb Recon. School for one week; S/Sgt Donald E. Olk to Ammunition School for two weeks, dd 9 Oct.; Cpl Richard C. Brown to Bomb Recon. School for one week, dd 14 Oct; T/5 Virgil E. Peterson to Rocket & Grenade Launcher School, for two days, dd 26 Oct.; Pfc Norman W. Preston to Bomb Recon. School for one week, dd 20 act.
5. This Detachment loaded 130 Bomb Release Markers, 103 Skyrnarkers and incendiaries on 17 missions during the month.

NOVEMBER

1. The Detachment. performed the usual Camp duties during the month.
2. The following was promoted: Cpl Theodore F. Tapps (16033079) to Sgt.
3. The following changes took place: Pfc John P. St John (37197405) to this unit. from HQ, 881st Chem. Co. Kimbolton; Pvt Raymond F. Small transferred to 532nd BS; Pvt Raymond F. Roy (37317184) transferred to this unit from 532nd BS.
4. The following attended training schools: 2nd Lt Gene S. Sarli and Sgt Theodore F. Tapps, two weeks at Ammunition School; dd 10 and 17 Nov.
5. Pvt Paul A. Pietrowski on TD for 14 days to HQ 1 st Bomb Div.
6. The Detachment loaded 86 bomb release markers, 57 skymarkers and incendiaries on two missions during November.

DECEMBER

1. The Detachment performed the usual camp duties during the month.
2. The following promotion took place: Pfc Paul K. Trittipo to Cpl.
3. The following personnel changes took place: lst Lt Juette O Renalds returned from
7th Station Comp. Sqd. as assumed command from 2nd Lt Roy L. Alley transferred to 7th Sta. Comp Sqd.
4. The Detachment loaded 98 bomb release markers, 82 skymarkers and incendiaries on six missions during the month.
